  From the first communication, till the last bit of trash was hauled away, our experience with Alex and his crew was fantastic. We had been dreaming of completely rebuilding the... read more two bathrooms in our 50's Los Altos home ever since we first moved in 9 years ago.  When we were finally ready to move forward last year, we had a very hard time getting contractors to even respond.  Since our two bathrooms share a wall, we knew we needed some design and layout help as well to help maximize the spaces.  To my surprise Alex got right back to us, and within a week or so he had come out and drawn up several options that would work.  He quoted us a very reasonable price, and we signed a contract.  A few weeks later demo began, and despite a few minor setbacks (not caused by Alex or his crew) we began to see our dream bathrooms take shape.  
Rapha is Alex's primary tradesman, and he did every task other than hot mopping the shower pan, the tile work and glass shower door/panel install.  It was a pleasure to watch him work every day and his attention to detail was appreciated.  He worked diligently to make sure the work was up to his own high standards...many days staying well into the late evening to make sure it was done right.  We had complete trust in him and his work and had no reservations about giving him full access to the house even when we were away on vacation or for the weekend.  
Rey the tiler was also fantastic.  We had lots of different tile incorporated into our design and to see the way he made sure things lined up and were laid out in a way that is pleasing to the eye was quite impressive.  Again, the attention to detail really shines here.  
Caesar was a helper early on in the project, single-handedly taking care of the very messy job or demoing the old bathrooms.  For more than a week he worked hard under hot, dusty and dirty conditions, happily singing along with his music to give Rapha a clean slate to begin building upon.

The bathrooms turned out absolutely awesome and don't have a single issue or criticism.  They also did some lighting work in other parts of the house as well as replacing all the other interior doors to match the new ones and those projects were completed quickly and efficiently.  

One of Builts best attributes is communication.  Alex was always available to almost immediately answer my many questions over the course of the project, and he also kept us up to date with what was going on in both the day to day details as well as the big picture.  He stopped by several times a week and jumped in to get his hands dirty on multiple occasions.  It's clear he loves what he does and his enthusiasm is appreciated.

The kitchen is now my favorite room in the house. It is spacious, functional, and beautifully designed. The cabinets, countertops, and appliances are all of the highest quality, and the finishing touches are exquisite. The four bathrooms are also beautifully done and have been transformed into luxurious spa-like spaces. The built-in for the TV is stunning, and it integrates seamlessly with the rest of the design.
The flooring throughout the house is beautiful and has completely transformed the look and feel of the space. The workmanship is excellent, and I can tell that great care was taken to ensure every detail was perfect.

But after working with Alex, it is clear that he and his team are highly competent, skilled professionals. They have extraordinary attention to detail and prioritize quality. I have a lot of confidence in him, and that's what you need when you hire someone to do bathrooms. Anyway, the results are fantastic. I never considered myself a "materialist," and I 've lived in apartments my whole life. But I'm really starting to get into this whole homeownership thing now because I love my bathrooms.  Plus the price he charges is reasonable.  

So I'm more than satisfied with the job Alex did, and would certainly hire him again for any other project large or small.

I definitely felt that he and Raffa went above and beyond to walk us through the process and get the job done and were always honest with us, which we really appreciated. Raffa is also one of the hardest workers I've ever met. We were so impressed with him and he always seemed so positive. They really wanted us to be happy with the job and would put in the extra time to make sure things came out right. We had a slight issue about 9 months after the remodel and they came out to fix it. They actually fixed it more thoroughly that I expected! We are very happy with how our bathroom turned out and would recommend Alex and Raffa to anyone looking for a bathroom (or kitchen!) remodel.
